Tyson Brown's Cast
Using Tyson Brown as her life model, ceramic artist Lucinda Brown ( no relation) has cast in plaster and molded Tyson's upper torso using clay as her medium. The resulting artwork is as faithful to his form as possible allowing for the shrinkage that happens when the clay is fired, usually around 10-15 %. The artwork is wall mounted and may even be located as a garden sculpture and having been fired to stoneware temperature is completely impervious to weather conditions. This beautiful form shows the sculpted male body to advantage, the muscle tone of the abdomen, the lovely contours of the shoulders. Made from high quality stoneware clay which has oxides added to give it the brown/black colour, each piece is uniquely press molded and hand finished. After the first firing the piece is sanded back to give a smooth finish., then re-fired to 1240 degrees. Every artwork comes with Lucinda Brown's unique authentication in the form of a signed and dated gift tag with Tyson Brown's image.
